1. Performing and Senior Company must commit to the following classes:
a. 3 – Ballet classes (can include Pointe)
b. 1 – Jazz Class
c. 1 – Tap Class

f. 1 – Company Rehearsal Class (Company rehearsal class is mandatory. Absences are not allowed)
Junior/Teen Company must commit to

Every student must audition each year.
VDC will send home a letter to the student in order to notify them of their acceptance/non-acceptance into VDC Company.
3. All performances, conventions and competitions are mandatory unless otherwise stated by the director.
4. Both Performing and Senior Company will perform a minimum of one and a maximum of two group numbers.
Junior Company will perform one group number. If time and the number of company members permit,
a production number will be added.

The additional Company tuition cost will cover company
class, group choreography, and administrative costs.
6. Solo,
duets and trios are optional. If any company member is interested in performing a solo, duo and/or trio,
the parent must complete the “Individual Performance Request Form”. All requests will be evaluated
and awarded based on student ability, appropriateness of the request and the availability of the choreographers.
Those students wishing to do more than one individual piece may begin learning their additional chorography once all
of the other company members have begun their first number.
7. All costumes, accessories, tights and shoes will be picked out at the sole discretion
of the choreographer.

Each company member will be required to purchase a
company warm-up to be worn at all performances, competitions and conventions.
9. All duet, trio and group awards (including all monetary awards) will belong to the choreographer. All
awards won by a soloist will remain the property of the student. Any monetary awards will be credit to
the student’s dance account.
10. Competition requirements:
a. All competition
and conventions schedules will be handed out as soon as they arrive. Most schedules are not sent out until
a week before the event.
b.
All competitors will be required to have the same color
lipstick, eye shadow, blush, false eyelashes, jewelry and eyeliner. A hair and make-up class will be held
to make sure everyone understands how to do hair and make-up.
c. All
competitors must be ready to go one hour before competition time.
This is to ensure proper warm-up and time to address any pressing issues. Arrival time means arrival
time. Tardies are unacceptable. Please make sure you allow enough time to get ready
and travel to the venue.
d. All
competitors are required to be at the venue to support all other company members who are competing on the same day.
e. Competition days can be very long and tiresome.
